Renowned rapper Kanye West launched a rant of epic proportions on Twitter. His 86 tweet dispatch covered a number of topics including his love of fashion to his quest to change the world. Perhaps the most ambitious tweet — from an artist not exactly known for modesty — expressed his desire to “pick up where Steve Jobs left off”.

Among West’s tweets were also rants on the American schooling system and seemingly arbitrary references to Occupy Wall Street, the London riots and Chicago, murders:

In addition to expressing his desire to take over the design legacy of the late Apple co-founder West equated the spirit of Jobs to Michael Jackson:

A number of the tweets concerned the aspirations of West’s company Donda. Named after West’s late mother, the firm aims “to help simplify and esthetically[sic] improve everything we see hear, touch, taste and feel,” West tweeted.

West then boasted about his continual investment in creativity:

He also claimed to be assembling an incredibly diverse set of employees for the firm:

West offered little explanation for the litany of tweets, saying only that he had “just wanted to share what’s been on my mind”.

The tweet rampage ended with a quote attributed to Irish poet George Bernard Shaw:
