If you ever thought that getting your Instagram pictures up on your blog was a kind of a pain-in-the-arse, then WordPress has got good news for you.

The blogging platform is now allowing people to embed Instagram pictures in their posts. All you have to do, says WordPress, is paste the image’s URL from your web browser’s address bar while viewing the image.

The URL automatically embeds the largest size of the image that fits into the content area. Alternatively, says the world’s largest blogging platform, you can control the size of an image using shortcode.

An image is automatically linked to the URL of its original Instagram page, so when readers click the image on your blog, they are taken to its full-size version.

For now the feature appears to be exclusively available to WordPress.com users. So now you can Instagram a picture of your cappuccino, and have the blog about it, images and all, up before you’ve even finished it.

Actual photography skills are optional.
