Watch a bearded Benedict Cumberbatch in the Doctor Strange teaser trailer

Marvel Entertainment has dropped the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Doctor Strange movie. And it’s full of… Inception?

The trailer shows the film’s antagonist Stephen Strange as a surgeon, and then looking homeless. A female narrator (Tilda Swinton) speaks to Strange throughout the two-minute clip, explaining how he can save lives in more ways than just medicine. She also portrays the Sorcerer Supreme in the movie.

Of course, Benedict Cumberbatch was looking as only Benedict Cumberbatch can, but sometimes with a beard. He doesn’t carry the years of experience and knowledge that the character is known for, which is shown quite well in the trailer.

Also, there’s a lot of Inception-type dream-type scenes going on.

So far, the movie looks interesting, but it’s only a trailer. We’ll have to reserve judgement until the final film is out.
