Selena Gomez now owns Instagram’s most-liked post ever, remains most-followed
A few weeks ago, we reported that Selena Gomez toppled Taylor Swift‘s reign as Instagram’s most followed. Well, now the 23-year-old recording artist has yet another social media accolade to her name: she now boasts Instagram‘s most favourited post, ever.
The songstress’s star selfie, featuring a bottle of Coca-Cola parading lyrics to her 2015 track Me and the Rhythm, garnered a ridiculous 4.2-million likes and just under 100 000 comments. The post has been live on Instagram for around two weeks at the time of writing, so this number will likely grow.
“When your lyrics are on the bottle,” reads Selena Gomez’s caption below the Instagram post.
The previous Instagram that had everyone double-tapping was a snap of her and Justin Bieber posted on the latter’s account. It racked up over 3.7-million likes, posted back in March 2016.
According to analytics company SocialBlade, Selena Gomez remains the most followed celeb on the social network with just under 90-million followers, followed by Taylor Swift [85m], recording artist Arianda Grande [78m], and Beyonce with just over 77-million.
The most popular celeb on Instagram who isn’t a recording artist or Kim Kardashian, is footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, with just over 68-million followers.
