Welcome to Weekly Round Up, our podcast discussing the latest news from the past few days.

This week — and for the first time in 2017 — Hadlee Simons plays host to Graham van der Made and Andy Walker.

In this edition of the Weekly Round Up, the team talks about South African smartphone company AG Mobile shutting its doors, how the Meizu Pro 6 fared in Hadlee’s review, as well as Microsoft Xbox One exclusive Scalebound‘s surprise cancelled.

AG Mobile’s CEO Anthony Goodman this week confirmed that the company was liquidated

The team also touches on cryptocurrency company BitX’s re-branding to Luno, as well as the latest news surrounding the popular Formula E racing series.

What are we watching, reading, playing: Graham is making his way through Final Fantasy XIV while wondering what went wrong with XV. Besides watching a bunch of YouTube videos, Graham also picked up a book from a local SA author Masha du Toit.

Andy, besides wrecking the noobs on Plants vs Zombies: GW2, is putting in a lot of time in Steep. Undoubtedly a game he was excited for, which was quickly let down by the game’s lack of substance. Striking visuals and great physics alone doesn’t make a game. For some odd reason, Andy has taken an interest in air-crash investigation footage which has given him a new appreciation of the modern passenger airliner.

Hadlee is currently working through Mad Max while scouring his way through his third playthrough of Dishonoured 2. He’s also watching a fair bit of Rick and Morty reruns as well as a documentary series on some of the world’s strangest food.
