We love a juicy piece of leaked info. And Google’s possible Nexus 7 tablet is the juiciest fruit we’ve tasted in a long, long time. A “leaked” training document provides us with the deets:
Rumour has it
No ad to show here.
Here we go. First off, it’ll be super cheap. At US$200, it’s priced pretty much in line with other 7-inchers of it’s ilk, such as the Kindle Fire. And of course, it’ll run the latest Android 4.1, called Jelly Bean. Asus is the manufacturer, and the company plans to squeeze in a 1.3Ghz CPU, a GeForce GPU, a 1GB RAM and either 8GB (US$200) or 16GB (US$250), depending on the price of the model.
The screen should (hopefully) be a display tour de force. All we currently know is that it will be an IPS panel running at 1280×800.
Also included will be Google Wallet, which is pretty standard for NFC devices, which the Nexus 7 will be. Pity that Google Wallet most likely won’t work outside of the US.
Happily, this will be, or could be the first device to run Jelly Bean. Or it could be an ultra-elaborate fake. Anyway, Google’s I/O Keynote on Wednesday should be the reveal of any possible tablet.
