Sony’s last ditch-attempt to wring money out of a desperate generation of gamers is supposed to hit it’s mark next week at the Tokyo Game Show with the launch of the PS3 Super Slim.
This Polish site snapped a promo shot of the probable PS3 Super Slim and happily, the promo newsletter mentions a release date of 28 September. Even more happily, there’s pricing to go alongside the blurry images. There’s going to be a possible 12GB for €199 and 500GB model for €299.

Let’s chat a bit about the look of the supposed PS3 super slim. The first image is already shoddy and seems to be a hastily assembled mockup of whatever Sony plans to launch. The grill on top, please. It’s not as if Sony is adverse to crazy designs, but it seems a little out of it’s comfort zone.
And then we have the shot of the various inputs at the back of the PS3 super slim. We see an HDMI, power and networking slot, but are unsure of the other two. USB 3.0 most likely. But again, it looks like a poor-mans mockup of the existing PS3. When and if the PS3 super slim launches, we’re sure that it would look better than this. Or at least, we hope it would.
