Alcatel OneTouch today announced its new PIXI device range at AfricaCom in Cape Town. The new range will be available from December 2015 from Vodacom outlets “across the country.”
The PIXI 3 smartphone, one of the key launch devices, features a 4.5-inch screen, an 8MP camera at the rear and 2MP selfie camera up front. The snappers let users “capture crisp-looking photos of the moments that matter,” notes the press release.

Alcatel OneTouch’s Southern Africa country manager Ernst Wittmann noted that the phones aim to bring the internet closer to everyone without sacrificing style.
“Our vision focuses on ease, convenience and affordability for our customers and the PIXI 3 family has delivered just that. […] Our new PIXI 3 (4.5) smartphone makes mobile internet available to everyone, while offering on innovation and style.”
The Alcatel OneTouch PIXI 3 will be available in volcano black, white and silver.
