Electronic Arts has quite a few games on its plate this year, and I’m not even including all those boring sports titles either. I’m talking about the likes of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.
For anyone who hasn’t played the first instalment, Mirror’s Edge is a series about a woman who can effectively out-Batman Batman using a secret recipe of superhero parkour and dune buggy shock absorbers for legs. But as the new story trailer suggests, Faith is about more than just gymnastics.

The new title will tell the story of our protagonist fighting against the proverbial “man” in a quest to write a wrong, no doubt.
Open beta also announced
If you’re looking to get hold of this title early, EA has also announced that the game will be available in a closed beta before its 24 May release date on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You’ll need an EA account though to access the game.
What we can definitely say about this trailer is that DICE’s Frostbite 3 engine the game runs on is an absolute diamond. It’s the same engine used on Star Wars Battlefront, so the graphics — at least in terms of in-engine cut scenes — are possibly the best we’ve seen in a game thus far. Simply uncanny.
But don’t take our word for it. Have a look at the trailer below, and be sure to drop a comment.
