Peugeot’s 875HP Vision Gran Turismo virtual racer is here, looks special

If you had the chance to drive an 875bhp car that weighs just 875kg, would you?

You might imagine that kind of opportunity might be limited to a select few people around the world. But, as it turns out, all you’ll have to do is make sure you have a copy Gran Turismo 6.

Okay, you might not actually be able to take the Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo out on the road, but you’ll be in control of a high performance concept car, albeit one that only exists as bits of data.

In the game world, the virtual racer will be able to go from 0 to 100km/h in just 1.73 seconds, powered by a mid-mounted 3.2-liter V6 turbo engine. It’ll ride on 22-inch alloys at the front and 23-inch wheels at the back. Peugeot also claims that its paltry 1040mm height, combined with the multi-angular design “effectively stick the car to the road.”

Small wonder then that the French automaker calls the Vision Gran Turismo a “high-performance endurance racer”.

The car is part of the “Vision Gran Turismo” project, which has seen the world’s leading brands design an original sportscar in commemoration for the 15th anniversary of the iconic racing game.
