Man uses 15 Go Pros to create DIY bullet-time awesomeness
Hey, remember when the Bullet Time sequences from The Matrix were the most insane thing you’d ever seen on film? Well now its possible to achieve the same effect with 15 Go Pro cameras.
Well, a close approximation at any rate. Marc Donahue of Permagrin Films uses his YouTube channel to show off how he uses an semi-circular array of Go Pros to create scenes that anyone without a Hollywood budget could’ve only dreamed of doing a few years ago.
Donahue has used the array to give his videos everyone from BMX bikers to chefs and drummers that magical bullet time feel. At the moment, the effect isn’t perfect, although Donahue says he’s working on “making a cable” to get the cameras firing off in closer succession, which should fix some of the issues.
