Squee! ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ trailer is out
Excuse us while we scream with girlish excitement at this teaser trailer of the next installment of The Hobbit. As you all know we are big fans of the geekier side of Hollywood and nothing brings us more joy than to see epics like this come to the big screen.
If you saw the first installment of The Hobbit then you are in agreement that as an audience we are owed more adventure, excitement and sword swishing. That is exactly what The Desolation of Smaug promises — an intense adrenalin pumping adventure flick just waiting to be tweeted about.
The trailer, which has been viewed more than 3-million times in the last 48 hours, introduces us to some old favourites and spanking new characters. Besides Martin Freeman as Bilbo, Richard Armitage as Thorin and Ian McKellen as Gandalf, we see Lee Pace as Thranduil, Orlando Bloom reprising Legolas, Evangeline Lilly showing some mad skills as Tauriel, and Luke Evans as Bard. And of course get our first look at Smaug. Enjoy.
