#Ham4All: Celebs take to Twitter to sing Hamilton, raise money for charity

Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of Broadway smash hit Hamilton, has challenged Twitter to sing and donate to charity in a bid to win tickets to the LA opening of the show — and the celeb responses have come pouring in.

One of the first to take part in the #Ham4All challenge was TV writer and producer Shonda Rhimes — best known for creating the likes of Grey’s AnatomyScandal and How to Get Away with Murder.

“Lin, this is hard,” she proclaimed as she tried to rap an incredibly quick line from Washington On Your Side.

Ben Stiller posted next, joined by his daughter Ella — who kills it as Hamilton himself.

Next was young Iain Armitage from HBO’s Big Little Lies and the upcoming Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon.

Kristen Bell, Glee‘s Lea Michele, and Jane the Virgin‘s Gina Rodriguez all posted their own renditions of the doting Dear Theodosia.

Stars of Brooklyn Nine-Nine Stephanie Beatriz and Joe Lo Truglio also took up the challenge.

Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria tried her hand at rapping the opening song.

The cast of the upcoming film The Beguiled also submitted their music video for the Schuyler Sisters, with appearances from Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrell and director Sofia Coppola. It must be noted, too, that The Beguiled was released at Cannes before this challenge and it’s safe to assume they made this with no incentive while filming.

Orphan Black actress Tatiana Maslany did what she did best: playing multiple roles with ease. She accepted a tag by comedian Ben Schwartz.

Weird Al even got in on the action with an accordion to boot.

The competition is open to anyone in the world over the age of 13, and airfare is included in the prize. Find out more about the Immigrants: We Get the Job Done coalition and how to enter here.
