Samsung Galaxy S III rumour roundup
Thanks to the German branch of Amazon, there’s a truck load of official (?) stats for the Galaxy S III, which is hopefully being released today. Let’s dig in.
According to the site, the screen is a 4.7-inch monster, which makes it 0.5-inches larger than the Galaxy Nexus S. It’s a Super AMOLED screen, which is pretty much inline with how Samsung treats its top of the range smartphones. The S II and Nexus are part of the Super AMOLED and as users know, these screens are beauties.
The camera will be a supposed 12-megapixel device, a flash, auto-focus and face detection. Nothing new here, but it’s all about how Samsung will implement the hardware.
Samsung phones have expandable memory and that’s a hardware FACT which the S III plans to reap. The S III comes with 16GB internal memory, with the option of expanding the device up to 32GB.
Finally, the S III will come with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich. How Samsung plans to use it’s TouchWiz UI with the S III’s version of Android 4.0 is anyone’s guess.
