Moto unleashes RAZR i, a 2GHz Intel powered Android 4.0 superphone
“Say hello to the full-screen phone” says Motorola it launches the RAZR i, one of the worlds first Intel powered smartphones. Also, it looks exactly the same as the recently announced Moto RAZR M. But who cares if it’s an exact clone of the RAZR M, let’s see what the stats say.
It’s always about the stats
There’s a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED edge-to-edge screen but that’s not the big fish here. The king of the hill is the new Intel Atom-powered CPU, hence the “i” in RAZR i. It’s 2GHz so that 8MP camera can launch in under second. Battery life also seems to accomodate the new Intel CPU and is “40% more powerful than the competition.” So Apple then?
And no surprises here: the things running Android 4.0. There’s no official word on a Jelly Bean update, but as it is with most new Android phones, the software update should land shortly after the phone lands on our sunny shores.
Eager for the RAZR i? It hits the UK 1 October for the iPhone-ish price of US$555.
