Is this the final design for Xiaomi Mi Mix 2? [Video]

The Xiaomi Mi Mix is arguably one of the most beautiful smartphones released in the last 18 months, popularising the current trend of thin bezels. But it looks like the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 might step things up in a big way.

Phillipe Starck, the designer behind the original device (and purportedly behind the sequel) has posted a video on Facebook, showing what could be one of the designs for the Mi Mix 2.

“Mi Mix 2. Conceptual product design WIP v3,” reads a disclaimer in the bottom right-hand corner of the video.

In the clip, we see a phone with even thinner bezels than the Galaxy S8 (review). In fact, the top border is almost completely invisible. Meanwhile, the bottom plays host to a selfie camera, much like the original device.

The first Mi Mix made a big splash last year, with the chin of the phone playing host to the biggest border on an otherwise stunning design. In fact, the design has since been copied by a host of Chinese brands.
