Mobile World Congress is just a few weeks away, with the LG G6 set to be one of the most high-profile device reveals at the exhibition. But it appears as if we’ve just gotten a first proper look at the device.
The Verge has peeled the curtain back on the new handset, revealing a tantalising glimpse of the phone’s top half. And what we’ve got is a phone that looks visually appealing — at least to this writer.

The phone appears to have a rather fetching metal and glass design, with multiple antenna lines as well. But fans of the G2, G3 and G4’s rear-mounted volume buttons will be disappointed, as it appears that the G6 reverts to the traditional side-mounted volume button setup.

In any event, we’ve also got some thin bezels, as LG alluded to in a video several weeks ago.
Another recent nugget of info is that the LG G6 is set to ship with last year’s Snapdragon 821 processor instead of the Snapdragon 835.
According to Forbes, citing industry insiders, Samsung’s Galaxy S8 has priority for the new chip.
“The Snapdragon 835 won’t be available in large quantities until after the Galaxy S8 launches,” a source told the publication.
