The LG G6 is just a few weeks away from being revealed, as the company claims in a YouTube video. But event invites have reportedly been sent as well.
According to ZDNet, the South Korean company has sent out invites for an event taking place a day before Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Last year saw the G5 (review) being revealed a day before the exhibition as well.

“See more. Play more,” was the tagline on the invite, the publication explained, adding that the invite had an 18:9 ratio.
LG has already confirmed that the G6 will have a 5.7-inch, 2880×1440, 18:9 display. This is notable as many flagship devices pack a 2560×1440, 16:9 display instead.
What else to expect?
The YouTube video gives us a great idea of what to expect with the LG G6.
Most notably, the video touts waterproof design as one of the most desired features in a smartphone — so expect LG to follow Sony and Samsung‘s footsteps here.
A big screen yet smaller body was also mentioned in the clip, pointing towards a higher screen/body ratio (it seems like the trend for 2017).
Otherwise, we’re expecting a departure from the G5’s mod-based design, a Snapdragon 835 processor and a dual-camera arrangement (one normal shooter and one wide-angle camera).
We’re also expecting LG to apply some of the lessons learnt from the V20 (review), particularly in the audio department.
