Press invites for the Nokia/HMD smartphone launch have gone out already, listing a 22 June local event. But what kind of prices can we expect?
According to the latest MTN YelloTrader, the Nokia 3 has a price of R149 a month on a Flexi R110 contract. However, the phone can also be bought off-contract from the network for R2199.

Meanwhile, the Nokia 5 is listed for R299 a month on a Flexi R200 contract. The handset can also be purchased for R2999 off-contract.
There’s no word on the Nokia 6’s release via MTN though, as it’s not shown off in the catalogue.
The Nokia 3 packs a budget quad-core MTK6737 chip, 2GB of RAM, a 5-inch 720p screen, 16GB of expandable storage, a 2650mAh battery and an 8MP f/2.0 camera on the front and back.
Want a little extra? The Nokia 5 ups the ante with a better Snapdragon 430 chip, a 5.2-inch 720p display, 3000mAh battery, 13MP f/2.0 main camera and 8MP selfie shooter. Otherwise, you’ve also got 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
