The mircoblogging site’s support team posted a message to users informing them of the developments:
“We’ve given the developers of twidroyd and UberSocial for Blackberry (formerly UberTwitter) access to the Twitter API again. Our initial review indicates that steps have been taken to remedy the violations for these applications.
When the developer updates twidroyd and Ubersocial, you’ll be able to download their updates to access Tweets again on these applications.”
@UberSoc, the official Twitter account for UberSocial also tweeted the good news to its users/followers within moments of Twitter’s decision.
One of the key changes UberMedia has made to comply with Twitter’s terms and conditions in the new version is to keep the tweet character restrictions. Users will no longer be able to tweet more then 140 characters from a protected account or in a Direct Message.
“Thanks for your loyalty and patience. Spread the word, You can Download #UberSocial (formerly #UberTwitter) http://bit.ly/UberDL,” tweeted @UberSoc alerting users to the now live UberSocial app.
