Osama Bin Laden’s demise — The action tweets [Infographic]

Osama bin Laden’s death is the buzz word in most societies this week. There are people celebrating, people begging for proof of his death and people interested in how the man who has evaded capture for nearly a decade finally got caught.

It’s ‘Osama bin Laden week’ online and offline. Twitter in its bid to be the “platform that news breaks” has been tittering with news of bin Laden.

In true social media fashion the people at Namesake, a social media startup based on conversation, have cleverly compiled information from bin Laden’s last hour and the months that led to his demise.

The information is presented in a detailed infographic (below) which includes a timeline of intelligence gathering and planning before the operation as well as a post-operation breakdown of announcements and bin Laden’s sea burial.

The information in the infographic are confirmed facts of the operation along with a timeline of the tweets from @ReallyVirtual, the IT guy who was a few of kilometers away from bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad when it all happened.
