New Gmail intro video leaked

Google accidentally posted a video of a new version of Gmail that features a revamped look, redesigned conversation threads and improved search to its YouTube channel. The new version of Gmail has been in the works since June this year when Google began tinkering with its features.

This unofficial video, which features Jason Cornwell, user experience designer for Gmail, highlights other upcoming features in the new revamped Gmail. Google has since made the video private but not before YouTube user crlsndrsjmnz uploaded it to his YouTube account.

“Oops, you weren’t supposed to see that,” says Gmail representative Andrea Freund quoted in technology site, Mashable. “Stay tuned, we’ll be sharing more info on Gmail’s new look soon.”

According to Cornwell Google has “been hard at work”. “We’ve completely redesigned the look and feel of Gmail to make it as clean, simple and intuitive as possible,” he says.

Cornwell reveals a more user-friendly Gmail which incorporates the clean simplistic design Google is famous for. Gmail will now expand dynamically to accommodate any window size making it more intuitive. You can also set the display density to fit your mail habits. You can also adjust labels and chats to your preferences and if you don’t, Gmail will do it for you. Themes will now include high-definition imagery and email threads have been redesigned for easy readability and will include profile pictures and conversations(email threads) will look more like status updates than email threads.
