5 places to find Santa Claus online this Christmas

If your kids or you (I don’t judge) haven’t sent your letters to Santa Claus by now then it’s a little late (Christmas is only a few days away), I am afraid. Or is it? It seems the man in red really wants to be reached this year, so he has made it possible for good boys and girls who were too busy, say…chasing deadlines, to send in their requests.

It would be silly for the age of social media to truly say it had become fully immersive if Santa wasn’t on Twitter or a dedicated Facebook page. It is my duty, therefore, to help you send your wish list to the “old St. Nick”. I think the elves have just enough time to craft you an iPad 2 or Galaxy SII, it’s the little things.

Email Santa
The most logical approach if you have a long list. This site, emailsanta.com, has been around for 15 years! Santa is totally with the times, he’s been hanaging around the web for a long time. The site bills itself as a “fast, fun & free family-safe website”. Elements of the site do feel a bit spammy but there is a video of Santa eating a cookie and talking about the site. You also get results instantly. Fill in the blanks of a standard “Dear Santa” letter, and moments later you’ll have a reply from Santa.

Google Voice Call
This service, Send a call from Santa, is pretty awesome. You are given a series of questions and answering them, you get a message from Santa for your kids. Your kids or you, whatever I don’t judge, can also send a call to Santa. Way to keep the holiday spirit alive Google!

Track Santa
Ever wondered how Santa gets all the presents delivered by Christmas morning? Ever wonder which countries he starts with and when he makes it to your house? Well wonder no more. Thanks to NORAD and Google, you can track Santa’s trip around the world on Christmas eve.

Tweet Santa
If you can only express yourself in 140 characters or less, or your list is that short, then get tweeting. @Santa_Claus, boasting 50 000 followers is quite the chatty account. The big guy has promised to tweet his Christmas eve efforts, so if you find that NORAD isn’t helping you keep tabs on the man in red just follow him on Twitter.

Video letter
If your penmanship isn’t that amazing, perhaps it’s best to send Santa a video message. Smile Box is a pretty nifty little download that allows the little ones to send a custom video message to the big guy. The site also allows you to write a detail message and add a photograph if that’s what you want. Download Smile Box and get started.
