A high-end home equipment store has been caught with its pants down… so to speak. @home — a South African-based retailer that sells furniture, bedding and kitchen ware — had pornographic content on its Facebook page for three hours before it was taken down.
The post featured an image of a woman performing an act of fellatio on a male, and has spurred a slew of comments on the retailer’s Facebook page.

“Come to @home this Christmas, the prices will blow you away”, commented one user.
“This could put you guys ‘ahead’ of the pack,” said another.
The post and all comments relating to the it have since been taken down. One Memeburn reader, however, managed to grab a screenshot (Warning: NSFW).
One user even used the incident as an opportunity to advertise a social reputation management service.
@home subsequently issued a statement apologising for the incident:
“We sincerely apologise for the inappropriate content posted on our fan page. @home takes this matter very seriously and as such the content has been removed and the user banned”.
Twitter was also abuzz with chatter about the incident.
The incident appears to be an act of revenge on the part of the user who uploaded the picture and is directed at a former lover. According to one Facebook user, the target of the attack is “a buyer for @home”.
The incident is, of course, not a social media cock-up in the same sense as Durex South Africa tweeting out chauvinist jokes. @home’s social media team doesn’t blow, or suck for that matter. The only thing it did wrong was get caught napping.
