Proof that good literature still matters! Or that Leo DiCaprio is still an A Lister. Either way Twitter is abuzz with the trailer for the Great Gatsby. If you are a fan of the brilliant Baz Luhrman and have read and loved F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby then you have been waiting for this movie since Warner Bros. announced it.
No ad to show here.
Luhrman’s interpretation of the novel, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Gatsby, Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan and Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway takes us back to roaring twenties where the “buildings were higher, the parties were bigger and liquor was cheaper.”
Luhrman has undoubtedly taken some poetic license to the content, giving the roaring 20s a more romanticised, party-fuelled atmosphere. Twitter is talking about it, which means you are too.
