VEVO embarks on Brazilian adventure

Joint venture music video website VEVO is set to have a go at cracking the Brazilian market with a standalone music video platform and free apps now available.

According to The Next Web, the launch is good for consumers, but even better for advertisers.

“For advertisers, VEVO’s arrival in the Brazilian market is the ideal opportunity for them to access these passionate audiences through a catalog that highlights the greatest artists of all genres,” the tech news site quotes VEVO senior vice-president international Nic Jones as saying.

The launch is hardly a surprise given that VEVO announced it at an event in Sao Paulo back in February. That event was broadcast to global audience, with the company promising to more live events.

It also claims that it’s going to expand its presence into more countries in the near future after launching successfully in the UK.
