It’s (kinda) official: Apple is not pulling a “New iPad” stunt on us again. As was heavily hinted at in the press invites, the new iPhone is called the iPhone 5 and like the iPad, looks to be capable of LTE transfer speeds. The company’s website has all but confirmed the name, and that it will also be launching a new iPod touch, iPod nano and an updated version of iTunes at today’s event.
9 to 5 Mac hit Apple’s search bar and discovered that there are already URLs for the press releases and product pages for the new gadgets and software — they just haven’t been made public yet. But they still show up in search results, so they’ll probably go live in a few hours as the launch event starts.

Searches for the iPhone 5 show tips pages and PR info, while other search terms suggest they’ll be launching an iPod Touch with Retina Display.
All will be confirmed just after 19:00 CAT / 18:00 GMT when the launch event in San Francisco begins.
