Tardar Sauce is going to Hollywood. A talent agent for the grumpy feline, who specialises in representing internet memes, confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that the cat’s owners had signed a deal to have a once-off movie made featuring the famous fluff. The film will be produced by Broken Road Productions, the team behind films like ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’, ‘Knight and Day’, and ’13 Going on 30′, and some reports suggest it may even be a Garfield-style animation movie.

Talent manager Ben Lashes, who was hired by Tadar Sauce’s owners to sustain their cat’s popularity on the fast-moving web and protect her from overexposure, told the Journal that when he informed the pet about her upcoming film, she just looked bored. “She hates movies,” he said.
But it’s not the first time the cat will appear on film. Aside from numerous TV appearances, she was also featured in the movie ‘Lil Bub and Friendz‘, which explores famous cats from Nyan Cat to Keyboard Cat and was shown at the Tribeca Film Festival this year.
Lashes featured in the film along with his clients, and has helped Tardar Sauce’s family pull in a “low-six-figure sum” from the sale of merchandise and appearances of their popular pet — a figure which excludes the new movie deal.
