There are a slew of engagement videos out there on YouTube. Some of them are slick, others come with a little help from celebrities. Every now and then however, you’ll see one that’s just completely sincere and hits all the right buttons.

Former British club rugby star Garth Chamberlain’s documentation of his proposal to model Tess Montgomery is an example of precisely that kind of sincerity.
Chamberlain popped the question on the Italian island of Favigana, but not before drafting in the help of her modeling agency, family and the hotel staff to help keep it a secret.
After getting Montgomery’s agency to convince her that she had a shoot on the island and booking her into the hotel, Chamberlain set up a table on the balcony before hiding just out of sight. The hotel manager then presented her with an iPad that proceeded to play highlights from the past three years of their life together.
As the presentation came to an end Chamberlain came out and got down on one knee, and the rest is obvious — otherwise it would be a completely different kind of video.
“I was stunned – Garth made the most romantic proposal in the world and I am one very lucky lady,” Montgomery later wrote on her blog.
The video has racked up over 400 000 views since being uploaded a week ago.
