Dr Who has been thrilling geeks for 50 years now and, by the looks of things, the folks at Google are pretty big fans too. The internet giant today rolled out its most ambitious doodle yet in the shape of an 8-bit game celebrating the various incarnations of the Time Lord.

The game, which first appeared on the Google New Zealand homepage, sees The Doctor attempting to collect all the letters in the Google logo in locations spread throughout time and space.
After choosing which Doctor you want to play as, you immediately go into battle with his most renowned foes, the Daleks.
Every time you’re killed in the game, you regenerate and once you’ve conquered a level, you zip off in the TARDIS.
