In case you haven’t noticed, Google.com has a line underneath it today saying “The YouTube moments you’ll remember from 2013, all in one video.” Yes, it’s time for the annual YouTube Year in Review mashup.

There are a bucket ton of references in the video that rounds up the biggest hits this year, so you won’t be alone if you don’t catch them all. It opens up with the awesome kid president who gave us that pep talk from SoulPancake. He goes on to pick up a massive rewind button that is the connecting element throughout the video. Keep looking out for it.
The video’s music includes ‘Can’t Hold Us’ by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, sung by Joe Penna (known as the mysteryguitarman) though. There are a menagerie of other epic hits of 2013 in there like ‘Blurred Lines’ by Robin Thicke along with a skit of the notorious video with DeStorm (spoiler: a certain wrecking ball goes through that wall they keep walking past).
The video bounces all over, from Taylor Swift-mocking goats to that forest from that weird video where they are wondering what the fox says. Obviously, there are Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball ripoffs where Miley is played by none other than Jenna Marbles (yes, she licks a hammer too) and people doing the Harlem shake in weird places. There are also cameo appearances from everyone from Jamie Oliver to Jimmy Fallon and the cookie monster.
Overall, the top videos of 2013 are:
1. Ylvis – “The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)” by tvnorge
2. “Harlem Shake (original army edition)” by kennethaakonsen
3. “How Animals Eat Their Food” | MisterEpicMann by MisterEpicMann
