Imagine if all the iconic vehicles and aircraft from the Star Wars franchise actually functioned. Ignoring the fact that such a reality would probably make George Lucas (and now Disney) the owner of the most powerful military force on the planet, it would mean that they could all be transported from location to location under their own power.

That’s precisely the scenario imagined by German YouTube user Frank Wunderlich, who’s combined the very real Frankfurt airport with the not so real Starport to show what moving day would look like for the AT-AT Walkers, TIE fighters, and Imperial Destroyers of the Star Wars universe.
Interestingly, Wunderlich’s explanation for what was happening appears even more tongue-in-cheek:
Looks like the Story of Star Wars plays on Earth too in the next Episode. I took these pictures on my Flight back from the States to Germany at the Frankfurt Airport. Seems like the biggest german airport plays a key role as an imperial starport in the new episode — there have just been imperial forces at the scene. Maybe the Rebelboys hide in Berlin… 😀
It’s pretty impressive for a piece of amateur filmmaking, especially given how well it sticks to “illicit footage” staples, like a shaky camera, random zooming and poor quality audio.
