Not much is known about Quentin Tarantino’s new upcoming movie, The Hateful Eight. This means that every sliver of information is precious to us. This latest taster we get is a trailer caught by a smartphone camera and posted on YouTube.

By now, we can tell from the teaser and poster art that the movie is going to be a Western. It seems Tarantino got bitten by the cowboys-and-crooks bug since Django: Unchained — which is probably a good thing and a genre that’s rather quiet today, think tumbleweeds.
According to the uploaded, the smartphone caught footage missed the first 8 to 14 seconds of the trailer. Have a gander:
The trailer introduces eight characters cut from different cloths but all “share a deadly connection”. They are as follows:
1. Major Marquis Warren — “The Bounty Hunter”
2. John Ruth — “The Hangman”
3. Daisy Dermargue — “The Prisoner”
4. Chris Mannix — “The Sheriff”
5. Bob — “The Mexican”
6. Oswaldo Mobray — “The Little Man”
7. Joe Gage — “The Cow Puncher”
8. General Sandy Smithers — “The Confederate”
Needless to say there will be a lot of blood. The trailer also ends off by announcing that the movie will be screened in “glorious 70mm” which means high-resolution film stock, twice as large as normal 35mm. Examples of this film technology in action include IMAX productions, and movies like Ben-Hur and The Master.
The Hateful Eight screening will start in 2015.
