The young batsmen, who Australian captain Michael Clarke had earmarked for future greatness, died yesterday after being hit on the neck by a bouncer from fast bowler Shaun Abbot during a Sheffield Shield match earlier in the week.
The 25-year-old played 26 Tests and 25 One Day Internationals for his country. Ordinary cricket lovers were joined by current and ex-cricketing greats as well as cricketing boards in remembering the young batsman.
