James Bond’s ‘Spectre’ movie plot notes leaked by hacker group

Following the cyber attacks on Sony Pictures Entertainment in November where five unreleased movies along with sensitive documents were made public, the drafts of 007’s up-coming Spectre movie have been divulged over the weekend.

Several sources who claim to have gone through “some emails from those leaked Sony files,” have shared these sensitive notes regarding the highly-anticipated James Bond film starring Daniel Craig, Monica Bellucci and Dave Bautista.

The “early version” of author Ian Fleming’s popular action movie seems like the notes of a producer or director giving feedback on an unedited version of the film. We’re not going to go into all the details, but if you’re into spoilers though you can follow the links in the above tweet or join the discussion on Reddit.

An official statement posted on the 007 website reads as follows:

The screenplay for Spectre is the confidential information of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Danjaq LLC, and is protected by the laws of copyright in the United Kingdom and around the world. It may not (in whole or in part) be published, reproduced, disseminated or otherwise utilised by anyone who obtains a copy of it.

The hacker group that have assumed responsibility for the leaked documents is called Guardians of Peace. Some strongly suspect the group to be linked with the North Korean government, after president Kim Jong Un was disgraced by actors and comedians James Franco and Seth Rogan’s latest Sony Pictures movie The Interview .

Apart from the films being stolen — on a very serious note — thousands of other documents regarding sensitive employee and financial information have brought some hard truths about Sony’s inner-circles into the spotlight. These include calling actress Angelina Jolie “a minimally talented spoiled brat” and revealing the seemingly discrepancies of both executive and actor salaries.

If the hacker group is to be believed, Sony’s woes are far from over. As reported by Ars Technica, the cyber criminals are “preparing a Christmas gift”. A statement on Pastebin and Friendpaste read the following:

We are preparing for you a Christmas gift. The gift will be larger quantities of data. And it will be more interesting. The gift will surely give you much more pleasure and put Sony Pictures into the worst state. Please send an email titled by ‘Merry Christmas’ at the addresses below to tell us what you want in our Christmas gift.
