Over the past couple of weeks, South Africa has been subject to the worst bout of loadshedding since 2008. Productivity has slumped, with large areas of the country plunged into darkness for hours at a time. It’s been pretty bad for everyone, but a single tweet has escalated the horrors for Joburg City power.

You see, the organisation was probably trying to be as helpful as possible when it posted a PDF link to the current loadshedding schedule. Someone had however clearly forgotten what they’d called the document:

Most people expressed bemusement at the tweet:
Eeeerrm, @CityPowerJhb Why is one of your loadshedding documents called "nigga" pic.twitter.com/WEaQLZ4NLp

So @CityPowerJhb who decides on your load shedding schedule names?

The original tweet has since been deleted, but the power of the screengrab means that it will live on in internet infamy. We’ve been trying to figure out how best to describe the situation and we reckon “awkward” just about covers it.
