With a vision of promoting and recognising some of the country’s top game-changers, The Accenture Innovation Conference has revealed South Africa’s top innovators in Johannesburg. Within their respective categories, First World Trader, Angel Shack and Blue Strata were named the top innovators in the country.

Explaining the initiative’s goals, CEO of Accenture South Africa William Mzimba says that innovation is critical for business to operate, especially South Africa which faces a lot of economic and social issues. He said in a statement:
Produced in parallel with the Accenture Innovation Conference, our world-first Accenture Innovation Index (firs published in 2013) measures and shows where our innovation can improve across the entire organisation’s ecosystem. It moves beyond traditional enterprise borders into every aspect of innovation, touching among others on digital transformation, where innovation interfaces with the business, strategy and society.
First World Trader — a company that responsible for one of SA’s leading online trading platforms — was named the winner for the Best Innovation Concept. The service makes the trading process simple, focused, cost-effective and efficient across a wide spectrum of instruments.
Angel Shack won the Overall Masters Apex Award for 2014 for its innovative desk and office supplies. Angel Shack is known for its innovative workstations.
Import logistics company Blue Strata Trading received The Overall Masters Zenith Award for 2014. As described on its website, Blue Strata facilitates the whole import transaction process: from order placement, confirmation and tracking through to the hedging of foreign exchange risk and the management of import logistics until delivery to your warehouse.
