Microsoft forgets its manners, ponders middle finger emoji for Windows 10

According to the Emojipedia blog, Microsoft will introduce new emojis to Windows 10 and one of them will be sure to raise a few eyebrows. The proposed middle finger emoji comes in six different shades to add variety to the insult.

The emoji has been available on other networks and platforms for a while but has remained absent from iOS, OS X, Android and Windows. But Microsoft is about to change that.

Other emojis spotted on the forthcoming Windows 10 update includes a face with “okay” gesture, a reversed hand with middle finger extended, and a flushed face, just to mention a few. Some of these are not new but boast far more distinct and accurate expressions.

Emojis are key to conveying emotions on a faceless medium like internet chat, but these will only be available on Windows platforms. Others using Android and iOS will have to use more conservative signals to express disdain.
