Office launches on Android after only five weeks of being available on preview. During this short period, Microsoft says that it was able to test the apps on over 1, 900 different Android phone models in 83 countries.

“During the preview, we heard from thousands of these users, and over the last few weeks we were able to incorporate a lot of their feedback into the apps.” The company said in a statement.

Office, Microsoft says, will be easy to connect to other popular third-party storage platforms like Google Drive and Box. This is a great for users as they provide convenience.

Unlike on a laptop or desktop, one cannot have the same features. Microsoft says that it has made many usability adjustments to make it easier to navigate commands within the apps.

The company says that Microsoft Word is made for work on the go. It has the familiar look, feel and quality of Office with an intuitive touch experience designed for Android phones and tablets.

As this are new, even with the testing period, Microsoft will still have to fix bugs but with time the true potential of these apps will be clear in the next coming weeks.
