Tech companies have made a big deal of their launches with Apple, of course, leading in that front. Of late, companies like Xiaomi and Google have also now started being flashy with their events. What did Windows 10, on its long awaited launch, have in store. Two of our writers, Stuart Thomas and Andy Walker, went to Johannesburg to attend the launch.

With Microsoft having spoken about the launch and toll out of Windows 10 as some sort of philanthropic event, the launch was bound to be different. What are upsides and downsides to this approach.

Over the past few months, we have extensively covered Windows 10, from its early days until now and have given a pretty good idea of what it is can and cannot do.

In the coming months, the team will sure take another look, putting under scrutiny the finished product which unlike the beta built has no business having excuses about its imperfections.

The team speaks about Microsoft’s plans for Africa, made clear by Satya Nadella’s presence in Kenya for the launch.

The team also talks about the features they are looking forward to on Windows 10. Listen to find the one feature they all are collectively excited about.

Windows 10 for mobile is currently in beta and will only come after a few months. Is this a good idea? Should Microsoft rolled it out now? The team debates this strategy.
