On 24 September, South Africans celebrate Heritage Day with many choosing to do so by cooking large amounts of meat on a grill over an open fire. In a bid to make sorting out that oh-so-crucial braai just a little bit easier, Uber and Checkers have teamed up to bring you boerewors on demand.
Special 1kg packages of #SAsNo1 boerewors will be available between 10:00 and 14:00 at a cost of R60. Limited quantities will be available in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban only.

The 2015 Championship Boerewors competition winner, George Baloyi from Soshanguve, was selected through a process of public voting and announced early last week. His winning recipe – South Africa’s number ONE boerewors – is now on sale in all Shoprite and Checkers stores nationwide
In order to take advantage of the offer, Uber users need to open the Uber app, tap the UBERMZANSI option, and request the boerewors.
