16 times the Woolworst Twitter account was totally on point

If you’ve spent any time at all on South African Twitter, chances are you’ve experienced at least one Twitter storm involving Woolworths. It makes sense too, it’s incredibly active on Twitter (most likely because a large portion of its customer base is there). It’s pretty weird then that it’s taken so long for a parody account to gain traction.

But gain traction is exactly what the Woolworst account has done, since going live in early September. A large part of the account’s charm lies in the fact that it often replies to queries sent to the actual Woolworths account.

It’s at its best however when engaging in biting send-ups of both the retailer and its customers.
