Deezer family plan allows users to set up six different profiles, essentially allowing an entire family of six to have separate playlists with access to over 35-million songs and 40 000+ podcasts. Each profile will have the usual Deezer features like music recommendations.
“The option to have up to six profiles running from one account means that we are able to bring music to more people than ever before, whilst delivering a tailored experience for all.” said Alexis De Gemini, MD of Deezer France.

Deezer’s family plan is nothing new in the streaming music world, with Spotify and Apple Music also featuring similar plans. Comparing it to Apple Music, it is not cheap either. Apple Music’s family plan is US$14.99. Deezer’s advantage is that it is available across multiple operating systems, iOS, Android and Windows.
The family plan offers parents the option to set a dedicated ‘Kids’ section, which has been built for under 6 year old children. This catalogue includes music, lullabies, nursery rhymes and audio books.
The family plan though it boasts the separation of playlist from the same family, there is an option to have a shared family mix. The mix is a shared playlist of favourite songs from each family member.
Deezer Family is launching first in France for Orange subscribers only. The company says it is going to roll it out to other markets soon.
