Ask anyone who reads a lot of comics about their favourite titles and chances are Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s Preacher will appear in there somewhere. It’s understandable then that there’s been more than a little excitement about Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin’s TV adaption.
Starring Dominic Cooper as Jesse Custer (in yet another example of a British actor playing a protagonist from the American South), the series will flight on AMC. The network is no stranger to comic book adaptations and is also home to The Walking Dead.

As is the case with its zombie-driven stable-mate, Preacher the TV series looks set to deviate a little from its source material. That said, it doesn’t look like production costs have been shirked, meaning that we’ll get the full intensity of Custer’s literal search for God.
