The first official trailer for the all-female Ghostbusters reboot is finally here. It’s been 27 long years, but we’re finally getting a new Ghostbusters movie, and a trailer to boot.
The trailer shows off a rebuffed version of the library ghost scene from the first movie. The ghost itself does look very CGI, and sets the scene for a jump scare. It also introduces the four new heroes and their specialities. We’re also treated to the origin of the new Ecto 1 — I mean hearse, or is it a Cadillac?

Some of the plot points are revealed, such as ghosts possessing humans, a device that “amplifies paranormal activity,” and a cameo from a very recognisable green ghost. Let’s home Sony Pictures keeps it that way and doesn’t reveal more, unlike a certain upcoming Batman v Superman movie.
So far there’s great chemistry between the actors, but we’ll only really see that in the full movie.
As a bonus, the piano rendition of original theme song by Ray Parker Jr. is just haunting.
