Twitter’s partner manager for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, Tom Fox recently visited South Africa and Memeburn had a chance to catch up with him.
Stuart Thomas and Graham van der Made interview Fox about Periscope, advert engagement, and how Twitter encourages companies to advertise on the social media platform.

A self-proclaimed sports fan, Fox has been at Twitter since 2012. He originally worked in sales, specialising in mobile and sport at the social network before being promoted to his current position.
One of the interesting tidbits from the interview includes the number of tweets during the Oscars. According to Fox, “When Leonardo DiCaprico finally won his Oscar [chuckles], we saw about 450 000 tweets per minute, which eclipsed the Ellen selfie, which was previously the most tweeted moment at the Oscars.”
