If you wanted to schedule images on Instagram ahead of time, you’d have to employ a night-watchman and feed him copious amounts of caffeine to look after your profile. Now, Buffer — a social media scheduling service — has announced that it now supports Instagram scheduling.
This is great news for those who do use Buffer and Instagram, but thanks to the latter’s inner workings, users can’t automatically upload posts to the service.

“With Buffer’s Instagram support, you can create an Instagram reminder in the web or mobile app, and when it’s time to post, Buffer will send a notification to your phone that loads your photo into Instagram with your prewritten caption saved to your phone’s clipboard, ready to be pasted,” the service explains in a press release.
It’s a slight caveat, but it does mean users can use the service to plan their posting schedule more effectively.
And the company sees a particular benefit here for marketers. The company’s also introducing analytics for the posts, as well as group collaboration for social media teams.
The new Instagram scheduling feature is available worldwide on Buffer’s dashboard.
