As much as Instagram’s a great platform for cat pictures and brunches, it’s also rather great for couch travellers. Speaking of which, welcome to our new feature entitled Pretty Cities of Instagram where each week we’ll take a look at some of the best snaps of cities as seen from the lenses of Instagram users across the world.
This week, we take a trip back into South Africa’s lowveld to Mbombela — capital of Mpumalanga.

Although still referred to by its previous name, Nelspruit, Mbombela is a city in flux. It’s fast becoming the cultural hub of South Africa’s north-eastern corner, and proves to be an adequate launch pad for visitors of the Kruger National Park, just a few kilometres to the east.
