Android and iOS apps tend to get released at the same time these days, but there are still a few notable exceptions.
Whether it’s because there are fewer devices to target or a perception that Apple fans are more likely to pay for in-app purchases, the practice of releasing an app on iOS first is nothing new.

One of these high-profile apps is Prisma, a popular photo tool that turns your snaps into works of art. It’s been exclusively available on iPhones for a few weeks — until now, that is.
The team behind the arty app have released Prisma on Android, allowing the Google-toting hordes around the world to get their hands on it. Why is everyone raving about it though?
The app, powered by neural networks, turns your photos into works of art in the style of famous artists. Take a look at a few examples below.
Simply take a snap (or import one), choose from one of 36 filters and adjust the level of blending to your photo. From here, you can either save the photo, share it to Instagram or other networks.
It’s not the first time neural networks have been used to generate works of art with your photos, as Google’s Deep Dream experiment has yielded some trippy results as well.
