A rag-tag, energetic bunch of law-defying superheroes are easy to fall in love with, but Marvel really outdid itself this time with the cameo of Baby Groot.
The tiny tree monster featured prominently in the company’s new trailer of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. And yes, it’s about as fun as you’d expect.

Shying away from the “less is more” concept, Marvel arguably gives a little bit too much away in the two minute trailer. With talk of atom bombs, visuals of giant city-eating squid and the usual slanted banter, the trailer feels very much like the Guardians flick we left behind in 2014.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 is expected to debut in mid 2017
Beyond that, the same visual flair James Gunn injected into the first film shines through in this, with Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana starring alongside Dave Bautista and voice-acting marvel Bradley Cooper. And, of course, Baby Groot.
The flicks expected to debut on 5 May 2017 in the United States, but you might as well get exited now already. Right?
